The land is terraced and has about 100 olive trees, over 100 grapevines along the stream and 10 fruit trees (quince, pear, plum, cherry and fig trees), as well as a forested part with pine trees and other species.
The largest plot along the river is completely flat and excellent for farming, with unlimited access to water sources such as the river itself, a natural spring (or water mine) with a tank which supplies water to the barns, and another water spring by the river with water all year round. The three stone buildings, with a total footprint of 70 m2, are located on a terrace above this plot. They have been used as barns and two have been recently reroofed.
The access road to the property is a dirt road, in quite good condition.
The property has lots of privacy to offer with no neighbours close by.
The location is simply stunning. In fact, this region of central Portugal is ideal for its nature trails, cycling, canoeing, fishing and swimming in the Zêzere river. Alvaro also has a floating swimming-pool and holds a very famous yearly freshwater fishing tournament.
Activities such as cycling, canoeing, fishing and of course, you can also swim in the Zêzere river on the other side of Alvaro where the floating swimming-pool is located. The village holds a very famous yearly freshwater fishing tournament.
Getting away from it all and getting your own piece of paradise is still possible after all!
Viewing highly recommended.
