Positioned on a lofty hilltop from where one can enjoy open mountain views, this property comprises two plots not joined together but close to each other. 

The first plot with a total area of 10,000 m2 is terraced land, with stone terrace walls, and a small stone building with a footprint of 35 metres for rebuilding. This building is registered as habitation and constitutes an urban title. It once had two floors and a roof but now only the walls still stand. It is big enough to build a studio chalet type of dwelling but it may not be large enough for permanent residence unless used in conjunction with a caravan or a mobile home. This is a mixed plot which once had fruit trees, olive trees and a vineyard and an area with eucalyptus which could now be reforested with native trees. The soil is fertile and suitable for a vegetable garden.

The second plot has an area of 4,990 m2 and is covered with hillside scrub. It is located 20 metres away and also contains an urban title where there was once a small stone house, with 40 m2 footprint and two floors, registered for habitation: rebuilding this old ruin may also be possible.

The dirt track access is reasonably good. However, it could also be easily resurfaced.

Regarding utilities, the location of this property makes it perfect for the installation of solar and/or wind power and off-grid living. It has its own water source but a sceptic tank will be necessary for sewage treatment. It may be possible to install a telephone line but there are a number of other alternatives available for internet access. Mobile phone signal is very good.

This property has lots of privacy to offer with no neighbours close by.

This region of central Portugal is ideal for its nature trails, cycling, canoeing, fishing and swimming in the Zêzere river. In fact, Alvaro has a floating swimming-pool and holds a very famous yearly freshwater fishing tournament.

The towns of Oleiros and Pampilhosa da Serra are only 15 and 20 minutes away respectively. Álvaro is 5 minutes by car.
